Our club is affiliated to the NZ Spinners Weavers and woolcraft society.
Our clubs spinners and weavers meet every Tuesday from 10 am at our club rooms on the Foxton - Shannon Road.
Some of our members have been with the NZ Spinners and Weavers for many years and have many and varied skills while others of us are relatively new to the craft. Our aims are to encourage and foster all fibre crafts. To that end we try to hold teaching days at least once a month. In 1998 wen a hand spindle, two different dye days, how to process and spin merino and one of our members took us through making soap. Next year we plan to try tassel making, scrumble crochet, and to do some felt making.
We would be pleased to welcome visitors to our area at our clubrooms, or to put you in touch with others with similiar interests.

In addition our Work Area is open on Mondays from 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. all year and week-ends from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Our relationship with the State Park is unique in that they give us a place to meet and we provide demonstrations and educational opportunities for the visitors who come to the park. Our meeting place from October to May is a charming log cabin and from June to September we meet in a New Timber Framed Barn.
With our farm setting we are able to maintain a diversified flock of sheep for our spinners.
Visitors are always welcome.
We teach what we know and we learn what we didn't know.
